Nestled along the AuGres River near the Saginaw Bay, AuGres is readily accessible via state and interstate highways. AuGres is easy to get to, however, the city´s friendly residents, year-round recreational opportunities and excellent quality of life make it hard to leave.

AuGres offers a variety of activities and events such as the AuGres Car Cruise and Show in July, the Pirate Festival in August, Fireworks Display in July and Farmers Market throughout the summer. Many people enjoy canoeing, fishing, hunting, golfing in AuGres all year long.

AuGres´ City Park which is right across the street from the Harbor Inn has basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, playground, horseshoe pit, sand volleyball court and shuffle board.
